As a sole practioner, Marc Edelman has the experience in legal areas of contracts, property law, antitrust, and sports law. Mr. Edelman is a member of the faculty at Barry University's Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where he teaches and writes in the areas of antitrust, contracts, property law and sports law. As a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a cum laude graduate of Michigan Law School, Professor Edelman previously practiced antitrust and sports litigation with the law firms Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP and Dewey Ballantine LLP.

IDEA, FAPE, CHILD FIND and IEPs: The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) guarantees all children with disabilities to a free appropriate public education (FAPE). FAPE starts with a school’s responsibility to identify that a child has a disability (Child Find) and create an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to suit the needs of the child.
